I was very sick last month and was on antibiotics I know antibiotics make birth control ineffective.... Keeping that in mind I had a normal period that lasted 5 days but since the end of my 5 days I have had light bleeding everyday since which has been 16 days now.... I dont know what it could be from? Any ideas?

Could be the antibiotics threw your hormones off, and it may take 1 cycle for the body to get back to normal. I would actually go see a doctor since we women are supposed to 1 a year anyway. Age also plays a role as well.

Anytime your concerned you should see a doctor, only they will be able to put your mind at ease.
For the most part I wouldn't be overly concerned, nature sometimes plays tricks on the body, especially when you grow older. If it doesn't get any better in a few more days , gets worse (or it burns when you go to the bathroom) or you want answers, see your doctor.

Jus get a checkup, it probly is just something to do with the meds you took and now your period is slowly coming out. check to be sure though
