I would like to continue to create my web site...but found that all my personal info is there for all to see or who want to find it. My phone # is unlisted yet..there it is on Whois! I do not want my home addy published due to safety for myself and my family...You never know who's looking and what they are thinking. I have been stopped in my tracks by this. How do I make it more generic info or email only? : ) Thanks!

The easiest way is to use a third-party company for your contact info. GoDaddy offers this service via "domains by proxy" but it costs a few more dollars per year. It's my understanding that you can only update/change this info when your domain is up for renewal. Hope this helps. I'll post godaddy's link in the source box below. (I do not work for godaddy, but I do have a domain registered with them.)

on my host they allow you to change it, its under registrar, Some host might not let you change it, http://godaddy.com does, you could contact them & say you sold the domain to another person & you want to remove your name from the whois records.

hope that helps
