find the magnitute of that
sqrt((-2)^2+(-2)^2+(-4)^2)= sqrt(24)=2sqrt(6)
unit vector= vector/ magnitute
<-2,-2,-4>/2sqrt(6)
unit vector is <-1,-1,-2>/sqrt(6) or <-1/sqrt6, -1/sqrt6, -2/sqrt6>
sqrt= square root
good luck
