I'm sewing a fabric book with iron-on pictures of family members for my son (1) to look at to learn the people who are far away. I want to have the ability to add on more pages, but my only idea came for like putting those rings in the fabric like how you have the holes in your shoes where shoelaces come through. The only thing I could find at craft stores were eylets, which are expensive especially with the $30 tool required to do it. I wanted the eyelets and then ring them together but I can't. What are some other options that I could use to connect my baby fabric book where I can add on more pages later?

A grommet tool is usually only about $8 at a store like Walmart and a package of grommets perhaps a dollar or two. Check in the sewing department rather than the craft department. Grommets can be added without the squeeze tool by purchasing a grommet setter for about $3 and using a hammer. These are your best bets...eyelets are too small for what I think you have in mind.

There are those white rings that have glue on the back(you use them on paper normally) that you might be able to put on the cloth about a 1/2 inch in.. then punch the hole so its reinforced and put them in a binder.
Or you could bind it all with large baste stitch of yarn and tie it off then when you needed to add pages you just pull the yarn out and re baste and tie.

They sell rings that open; I don't know if they're called bull dog clips or not.
You could also use twine. I've made books with John Deere covers and used twine on one to hold it together. Ask any farmer, as we haul it all to the landfill after taking it off the bales.
Since it's for a baby, maybe use ribbon.
they are not bull dog clips - those look like potato chip bag clips.
I mean a round clip like what your keys are on.
