The riff raff next door have stolen the garden gnomes, smashed them to pieces and delivered them back through the front door. What would you do in return?

For next time you should fill them with dog poo and when they go to smash them, hopefully they will get a blob of it sprayed into their face.

wow........why the gnomes?
did you see this "riff raff" commit this crime? you can report him ya know! :)
or if you are a vindictive type....
-buy the biggest gnome you can find! and place it in plain sight
-only display them in your front window, where they are visible to your neighbor!
-tell other neighbors that this "riff raff" has a problem with "little people" so to speak, and find people who are shorter than the norm, and have this "riff raff" explain to THEM how and what his problem is!
-return the broken pieces to him, and say "merry christmas, since you like them broken like this, maybe you should have them!"....

Kidnap one of their children, dress it up as a gnome, shellac it and place it in your garden. Repeat process until you have a garden full of gnomes again.
