I didint know that. but it's very disappointing because Bob Saget is an American icon: good-guy single dad from Full House and host of America's Funniest Home Videos by day, star of lewd stand-up and rap music videos by night. Saget embodies our heritage of puritanical values, VH1 reality shows and Who Wants To Be a Millionaire, now, more than ever, because Saget is back on national television. Since October, he's been hosting a family-friendly quiz show, 1 vs. 100. He's also promoting an R-rated DVD called Farce of the Penguins, a parody of March of the Penguins which includes "a lot of Penguin sex," according to Saget, as well as the vocal talents of comedians Tracy Morgan and Lewis Black

Actor/Comedian Bob Saget dies at 47
Tuesday, April 4, 2003 Posted: 12:47 AM EST (0547 GMT)

LOS ANGELES, California (AP) -- Bob Saget, the comedian best known for his role as friendly widower Danny Tanner in ABC's "Full House," has died, his publicist confirmed Monday. He was 47.

Saget's body was found late Thursday night in his car in Laurel Canyon. His vehicle, a 1998 Jeep Grand Cherokee, had gone off the road and fallen into a shallow part of the canyon. No foul play is expected.

An autopsy was planned to determine the cause of death. Saget's representative, Brad Saltzman, said Saget had recently grown increasingly despondent over the year since his latest sitcom, "Raising Dad," had been cancelled.

"Until 'Full House,' Bob's career was often lewd and lavicious," said Saltzman. "The role of Danny Tanner took away his edge, and he'd been fighting to get it back ever since."

Saget also faced a personal setback in 1999, when he and his wife of 16 years divorced.

"For a while, the drugs and drinking were really out of control," Saget confessed in a 2001 interview conducted by E! Entertainment Televisions. "I didn't know who I was anymore, so I buried myself in vices and hardcore sexual deviancy."

In 2001 Saget enrolled in the Waverider Outpatient Program where he caught up with fellow comedians Norm McDonald and Artie Lange. The friendship led to Saget's directorial debut, "Dirty Work," as well as his re-emergence into popular entertainment.

Saget will always be remembered, however, as Tanner family patriarch Danny in "Full House," which ran from 1987 to 1995. Along with John Stamos and Dave Coulier, the show featured Candace Cameron Bure and Mary Kate and Ashley Olsen.

Saget was also the first person to star in two primetime shows simultaneously. In addition to "House," Saget also headed up the popular "America's Funniest Home Videos."

"Bob was a great man and a wonderful entertainer," said co-star John Stamos. "I can only hope that death provides him the peace he was always searching for in life."

Saget is alive and well and on a promotional tour for his new film, "Farce of the Penguins", and preparing to appear at Harrah's in Las Vegas next month.
What sort of sick pleasure do you get from trying to start false rumors? How sad it must be to be you.

I didnt know that he died today either.
He is going to be missed. I loved america's funniest home videos.
I feel horrible that he could not hold on a few days until all this anna nicole smith stuff died down. That is probably why no one knew of his death.
peace and blessings to his family
