No I don't think love is a lie. But I do think that people can create a situation in their head where they might think its a lie.

In my opinion, it all starts with too many expectations. People think they are going to find their "soul mate", or that their relationship will be like the love stories they see on TV or in movies, and this is just not true. If you can learn to get real and not have these far fetched hollywood expecatations of love, than you are off to a better start.

So I suppose it just depends on what you think love is. I try to keep things as simple as possible, and I feel that love is when you are totally comfortable with the person and can be yourself around them, and they feel totally comfortable around you. I normally know if I have a connection with someone pretty much right when I first meet them, its called chemistry. It's kinda when you really want to see the person again and can't wait to see them. (And this happens VERY RARELY im sure you boys know what I'm sayin ;)

So anyway, is love a lie? Yes it is if you have some fairy tale and unrealistic version of it. But no it definitely isn't a lie if you can come back down to earth and GET REAL.

Love is something the inner soul needs, love is a powerful emotion the body craves, there are two types of love the body craves, one, the body craves for emotional love, and two, the body craves a special love where ones entire skin, from head to toe yearns to be touched, fondled, caressed and cherished regardless if this is two men, a man or a woman, or, two women, whatever works, so, no, definitely not, love is not a lie, the reason it seems or appears to come out like that is because of how many individuals only look for that quick sexual fix of making love and getting it over and that is where the paradox begins, and now, as for myself, I am gay, very gay, and I understand why I am gay, no, it is not hereditary, it is by my own choice, modified behavior. I find such pleasure in being so gratified and satisfied in being with my man, and with being fully sexually and emotionally satisfied that I cannot even begin to explain this entire arena of my psychological make-up, so no, for me and others like me, love is not a lie, love has to have touch, feelings, understanding and communications and loyaly, honesty and sincerety. Combine that formual though it takes a hell of a lot of effort, and you will be happy just like I am happy to look foreward to continue on in the sexual and emotional intimacy with my man. Amen.

i think the problem is that people have different ideas of what love really is. there is a difference between love and "in love" there's also a difference from loving a person and loving a sexual act you just happen to be doing with person A or person B..

I wont sugar coat this. Some people are dogs and will say they love you just to get intimate with you.

I will also true love. The kinda where you feel it deep inside you and in your soul type of love does exist. I found my soulmate and know first hand true love exists.
