It allows a web page to include another web page within an area of the main page. Think of it kind of like a "text area" but able to load an entire seperate page into it.

an iframe is an inline frame. Basically, an iframe is a page that will load within a page.. allowing you to have, say, welcome.html load in the content portion of, say, index.html
An iframe can also be used as a target, ie dedicating the middle portion of a page with the name "content," and having each page from the links clicked on the navigation load in that iframe.

I would suggest you don't use one, but go to www.w3c.org to find out the definition. Unless it's specific to the assignment you have been given, I wouldn't use it. It's less work to use overflow to scroll extra content, and or css with divs to display your content and styles. Those two options at least changed all my iframe uses in projects I did for school.

i think its where u can load digitak pics into a frame and it plays as a slide show in a picture frame
