airbag reset for 2006 GTO?

My husband took the seats out to install a new stereo into our 2006 GTO and now the airbag fault light comes on. Anybody know how to reset it without taking it to the dealer?!?

Disconnect the negative battery cable (ground) for 10 seconds.

Try taking the battery cable off for about 30 minutes. this should reset the PCM. It is new engough that the dealer would reset it under Warranty........Gee there may actually be something wrong with the air bags. does it have side airbags maybe one of them got disconnected.
