So did you give him your number? he may like you, BUT i would play it cool! Don't act desperate or needing towards him b/c thats what they like. They want to be in control! Since he is older he may only be tryin to see what kind of chance he has with you, and Im afraid that may mean only wanting a sexual thing. You never know tho. Dont give in easy and see what all he is about first.

I would not give out my phone number to anybody who I didn't really know well. If you have an interest in this guy then I would try to get to know him better in school before giving him a lot of personal information. If he is trying to make a fool out of you, then you'll regret giving him your number, as he and his friends will probably be crank calling it or writing it on the bathroom walls for fun. If you really are set on this phone talking thing, ask him for his number instead...that will smoke out the truth really fast. Good luck!

It is possible he asked it on a dare from his friends considering the manner in which he asked and because you said you've never been introduced.
It is also possible that he likes you and was using his friends for courage when he asked for your phone number.
My suggestion is for you not to do anything at this time and wait until he makes another move. If he askes for it again, perhaps you can ask for his number instead, and say you'll think about calling him and giving him your number in private. This way it puts you in control of the situation and you can decide on whether to continue or not.

hmmm it is very possible that his friends told him to go ask you for your phone number, i say just wait and see if he calls you, and asks you on a date, b/c if he does that then he really wanted your phone number, but if he doesn't call you then it was just a stupid thing his friends told him to do
