There is an opposite to everything because the world must remain in balance. Think about it, what would happen if there was just males or just females in the world. Males are the opposite of females. Or what would happen if animals didn't have to hunt other weaker animals for food. we would be over ran. what would happen if we had criminals on the loose and no lawmen? The world must remain in balance and for that there must always be opposites to balance out the other.

What I see in your question is that there are opposites in the adjectives you used to describe nose. Of course, that is as it should be...but some nouns are not opposites but the same.
A rose is just a rose...called by another name it is still a rose....but you add an adjective and it makes it an opposite:

red rose/black rose

Yes, I believe there is...

Every Action has a Reaction

Every decision ever made, has an opposite side...Ya know?
Either you do something or you dont...that is an opposite...

Why is there an opposite to everything? I feel that falls under Freewill....and choices, and the ability to make those choices every day...Our rights as human beings....
We wouldnt have an opposite...if we had no Freewill? Right?

To be frank, nobody knows why there is an opposite to everything. It can't be explained, at least now, and probably never will. It is one of the understood facts of life, like 2+2=4. Simply because it does, or in the case of your question, there is.

Are you sure there is an opposite to everything? What is the opposite for a nose? a tongue? a pupil?

There are opposites to actions, because they can just not happen or be undone, but I don't think there is really an opposite to EVERYTHING

No. There are only opposites to things that are polar in nature: Good or bad, sickness and health, positive and negative.

There is no opposite to "green" or "televisioin" or "thunder"

Opposites such as "fire and rain" or "oil and water" are more such because they are so in cultue, rather than reality.

Many adjectives and some nouns have opposites, as do some prepositions. Not all words do though.

What?

What's the opposite of paper? Of computer? Of a Subaru Forrester?

Beware the word everything. What, pray tell, is the opposite of George Bush? ...have fun with that one!

Not everything has an opposite. THAT which encompasses all of nothing and all other things has no opposite. Dualism is only visible from a limited perspective.
