Do these 2 things #1 basic tune-up (sparks plugs, mabey cap and rotor) #2" Iso-Heet "can be found at most auto parts stores. Just pour it in the gas tank. It does wonders in winter driving conditions.... oh if no Iso-Heet can be found ask for "sea-foam" another great one that does about the same job.

Presumably it's an automatic choke?

I'd suggest adjusting the idle to about 1000rpm, when warm.

If that doesn't help, it probably needs a new set of plugs, and air filter.

If it happens only in damp conditions, it could be the HT circuit breaking down. New plug leads required.

1.1 fiesta, must be quit old then no sutch car now all are 1.25 or 1.3
1.1 are the old carb jobies so a simple adjustment will cure this or you may need to take it off and stick a webber on it

Change the spark plugs or clean the ones in there with a wire brush, this will be the reason its not ticking over properly

is this the hcs push rod engine. if so the electronic slow running valve (if fitted can cause this problem) it also can have tantrums if the timing chain is worn. if fitted with contenventional ignition the fibre heel on the points can wear down (lack of lubrication causes this) which closes up the gap and causes erratic running

It sounds like it's ticking over too slowly. Easy to adjust and cheap if someone does it for you.

Hope that helps.

try looking at the idil speed. you could also look at the choke if it has one and see if it is working properly.
