I live in NY but does not have to be in NY. Willing to travel as family recently lost ours from some inconsiderate person who ran her over and didnt even stop. 4 kids who are mourning, want to replace her. Found a few on petfinder, One is identical but just paid 250 to have her cremated and they want 300 for this one at the adoption center. Just wondering if anyone has any ideas. Need female as have other male dog in household.

Most purebreed rescue groups will not offer a dog for less than a few hundred dollars. The price ensures that the dog will go to a financially secure family who can properly take care of it. I have to ask though, what was your dog doing in an area where it could be run over without supervision? Also, if your male is fixed there should be no problems introducing another male. If it is not fixed, you will not be able to adopt another dog. Here is the site for the NYC cane corso adoption center.

$300 for the one you want is not a bad price. I doubt you will find better
Why not get a different breed instead of trying to find an identical one?
