From last season I have Alfonso Soriano, Carlos Beltran, Garrett Atkins, Carlos Delgado, Bill Hall, Alexis Rios & John Smoltz. I'm definitely keeping Soriano, Beltran, and Garrett. Of the other four, which two would you keep, and why?

Delgado - Smoltz.
Smoltz because you will have a good pitcher to go with your ready made offense to start the season.
Delgado - a good solid quality 1B and now you can focus on filling other positions without using a high round draft pick.
Now you can use your early draft picks to fill positions other people can't afford to take early. You have the luxury of taking another top pitcher, SS or 2B in your early rounds depending on who is available.
Now for Alex Rios - by dropping him, he should be available to you in the draft to get back since he should go about 18-20th pick of OF players. And Delgado is in the top 10 in 1B and probably will go about 30 or 40 picks before Rios.

It is kind of like playing chicken with Rios but who knows you might pick up someone like Jason Bay or Matsui by freeing up an earlier pick.

I'd go with Delgado and Smoltz. Delgado is a consistant 30 + HR guy who is in an awesome lineup that will produce runs.

As far as Hall goes, his HR totals has risen the past 2 seasons but they jumped from 17 to 30 last year. I think he's hit his ceiling and so does a lot of the pre-season fantasy writers.

Smoltz is gonna get you 200 + innings, high number of K's, good ERA and good WHIP.

Don't know jack about Rios as I'm and NL guy.

hall and smoltz would be your best bets with the other players you have, it would give you more balance. Of the four left though smoltz and delgado are the best. But balance is what wins leagues so go with hall and smoltz.

i would keep rios and hall. delgado is good, but is an older player who has started to decline(his rbi's and hr's are there, but look at the decline in his runs, avg, obp and slg pct). hall is an up and coming player who is just starting to reach his potential(27 years old, players seem to really step up at this age.) and he can play multiple positions. rios is in the same situation but about a year younger(although he only plays OF). in keeper leagues younger players at at a premium, especially ones who are ready to really break out.
