I once got a dangerous staff infection on my underarm. My doctor said I had gotten the infection from shaving my underarms. I told him I use a power shaver not a razor so I couldn't have cut myself that way and he said just yanking the hairs out with an electric razor left the empty follicles at risk of infection.
That's why I stopped - not worth the risk.

Certain times of year shaving irritates the skin. That is just one reason. Some women come from a heritage where they are taught not too.

Guys don't have to do it so why should we, some women think. Some women do it as a feminist act of equality of the sexes. Its the natural state of being, unaltered and they believe it is beautiful. They don't want to have to do it, to please a man. If men can be scruffy and relaxed why is it the women have to maintain a constant pressure to be maintained and polished when men can get through life without such pressures? That is their theory.

Because they've freed themselves from an irritating, unnatural habit, which made them subserviant to the patriarchal society.
Think: Why should anyone shave their armpits? Really, why?
Yes, I do admit it looks nicer when shaved, but I've been conditioned to believe that.

I have NO clue. I forgot to take a razor in the shower today so I need to shave and it feels gross. I don't know why women don't. Rebellion?

To each her own I guess. I shave because I hate all that hair plus it cuts down on odor and makes you feel fresher.

My guess is is that it's one way of showing they don't shave that part of them where the sun don't shine either.
