Let's see Wright have a few more good years, then ask this question. A-Rod, for all of his failings last year under pressure, still won the MVP two years ago, and has put up consistent numbers for an extended period of time. In fact, his power numbers last year were better than Wright's (average was 20 points lower) - and that was looked at as an off year. Wright will more than likely turn out to be a long-term quality player, but that remains to be seen. This debate would be like aksing at the begining of the 1994 season who you'd rather have - Jack Mcdowell or Roger Clemens? Remember, Mcdowell had 22 wins in 93 compared to Clemens' 11.

Trust me I am a Yankee fan I would know that David Wright is way better than A-Rod. A-Rod just gets all the media attention and gets all the $$$ because he signs way too many deals, for example, Pink #13 jerseys, and almost anything else you could possibly think of. That is why he is so well known besides the fact that he was good for like the first 5 years and because he struck out so many times in the 2006 season. Now he is trying to get EVEN MORE MEDIA ATTENTION by making a huge thing with his relationship with Derek Jeter.

I like David Wright but I would rather have A-Rod. The reason is I still think A-Rod is going to break out again this yr and have 40 some homeruns.

I would rather have David Wright on my team over A-Rod as David Wright plays with a lot of hustle and heart unlike A-Rod.

A-rod, even though wright is an up and coming young player he hasnt proved that he can be a every year all star that A-rod has become. People say A-rod had a bad year last year but his stats were still far above those of almost all 3rd basemens.

perhaps you're forgetting that that is nonetheless 399 feet from living house plate to the left center field wall at Yankee Stadium, it takes quite plenty to get it out of there. A-Rod does no longer play in a ballpark the place everybody can hit a house run. Left center in Citi field is 364 feet, deep left center is 384 feet so Yankee Stadium is greater desirable to left center than Citi field is, that's the comparable 408 feet to CF in the two parks. the two are suitable exceeded hitters. What distinction does it make what his batting trouble-free replaced into? OBP is a much greater suitable stat to look at than batting trouble-free. So Wright's OBP's have been .354 final 365 days; .390 in 2009, .390 in 2008, .416 in 2007, .381 in 2006 and .388 in 2005. Over that comparable era A-Rod's OBP's have been: .341 final 365 days, .402 in 2009, .392 in 2008, .422 in 2007, .392 in 2006, .421 in 2005. So Wright has basically had one season the place he had a greater suitable OBP than A-Rod and that replaced into final 365 days. so which you picked a down 365 days for A-Rod to analyze those 2 gamers? i do no longer comprehend the place you're transforming into that .321 is the suitable batting trouble-free A-Rod has had whilst he hit .358 in 1996. additionally approximately Wright having greater suitable protection: Wright had a -10.6 UZR final season and a -10.0 UZR the season in the previous that on a similar time as A-Rod had a -a million.8 UZR final season and a -6.0 the season in the previous that. Neither one is an extremely solid shielding 0.33 baseman yet A-Rod is greater suitable. Why do human beings nonetheless attack A-Rod for steroids? He basically admitted to using them between 2001 and 2003, it is 2011 and you could't tutor that he used them on a similar time as with the Yankees, that replaced into 8 years in the past, he's performed in a million,028 video games and had enormously much 4,000 at bats considering then. i think of human beings basically desire to hate on the guy, he's a great participant yet everybody is basically too blind to be certain that by using fact they think of he remains on steroids. Steroids or no longer you nonetheless would desire to hit the ball.

A-Rod. He is a better power hitter than Wright. A-Rod could make history by becoming the youngest ever to hit 500 home runs.

where to start. a-rod proven hitter, 30+ homers and 115+ rbi's a year. with at least 110 + runs and at least 170 hits with the yankees alone. Wright who has 3 yaers in 20+ hrs 100 + rbis. they both have great range and gloves bout made a few errors this year. under pressure seems A-rod is up n down but wrigth seems to do just fine. so numbers speak for them selves a prven player to a good 3rd basemen. your choice i guess
