When I was a kid, one of my chores was to feed our ducks some oat mash last thing at night. I was always sure to put the mash in a shallow dish, as we generally had a few ducklings running around. One night I couldn't find a shallow dish so put it in a slightly deeper one.......the next morning I was confronted by 4 drowned ducklings. I am so genuinely sorry to those ducklings, I never meant to kill them. This has been weighing on my conscience for 15 years. I know that if there is such a place as Hell, I will go there.
I feel better for having got this off my chest though.
