speedboost?

Question

got a vertabim 1gb usb key ,needed to format it beofre it would work as a valid drive in speed boost in vista
only one query though,when i use it in vista ,i seem to notice the mouse jumping,only slightly but does using a usb device with speedboost cause any problems
bare in mind i am still using the beta version of ultimate(build 5600),so could this be the problem
also would the speed boost work with a external hard drive,or a massive 8gb usb key,and if i used a 8gb key would i see a massive improvement in the times it takes for apps to close ect

I doubt that being the problem with the mouse, re the rest of the question it really does not make a fantastic difference due to the speed of data transfer on flash drives being so much slower than ram. If you are running slowly try more ram.
