Will the digital prints be as good as the 35mm prints, also, does a digital camera come with a built-in memory, which you can use to save pictures and upload them to your computer, or must you buy a memory stick for this?
I have $300 total to spend on camera, card, and printer, if that info. helps.

This is not for poster work, just regular 4X 6 or 5 X 7 prints.

Depends if your needing poster size or not.
6 mp... would make a higher quality larger print... (the pixels are the 'colour dots' in the digital image.. so the higher the pixel the less 'grainy' the image when you blow it up).. 6 is good.
Digital cameras come with limited memory.. so you'd have to upload more often.. but you can make do until you can get the memory card.
Tip:
(put bulk of money into the camera.. and get a used printer .. card can come later)

cool digital cameras are great . your zoom brings everything closer . 35mm is the film in a standard camera size . they come in all price ranges . memory cards are great to use as back ups . a cumputer with a card reader is great to have to load digital images on your picture files . you need a computer and or software (camera ) extra memory (card) some digital camcorders are now lower priced at around 300 . most digital cameras run 50 to 150 now .

They can be as good. past 5 mp you are good up to 8 x 10 prints. if you are looking into professional grade you need to invest in something more expensive.

Under Arts and Humanities there is a Visual Arts category click on that and you will find a photography category. You should get more responses there.
