Fly Delta from Salt Lake City - SLC - To Phoenix- PHX
Then take either Greyhound to Flagstaff and Nava- Hopi bus tours from Flagstaff to the Canyon just Nava-Hopi [1-800-892-8687] all the way from PHX
The bus station is on the Airport property and if you take the West Long term parking Bus it will drop you off pretty close
By bus It's about 3 hours from Phoenix to Flagstaff and then about another 1.5 hours to the Canyon.
Given the time involved you may want to spend the night in Flagstaff which is actually a pretty cool town loaded with college kids, hippies, new agers, Rt66 road warriors and Native Americans mostly Navajo's and Hopi's.

i do no longer understand the place the perception the international is barely 6000 years previous got here from. Recorded historic previous is barely around 6000 years previous. the belief it took tens of millions of years to erode is additionally deceptive. significant earthquakes have replaced the planet each so often in lots of aspects. Volcanoes proceed to alter the face of the earth. using the thought that the Colorado canyon became formed with the aid of basically a flow of water is a guess, a impressive one yet basically a guess. confident it erodes to right away time yet geologists won't be able to be certain definitely that basically water carved it out. with the aid of the way they do have yet another thought that the desolate tract became a one time the backside of a physique of water. that is no longer basically an evidence.

If you are going to do it on your own - probably have to take Greyhound to Las Vegas - approx. 8 hour bus ride - cost about 57.00 per person - once in Vegas you can book a tour
