I know how to put the game in, but everytime i start the game up, and click start on the disk screen, my wii remote turns off. I am using the Wii classic remote that plugs into the controller, and when it says press any button to continue it doesn't allow me to because the controler turns off. please help if you have a wii and use the wii classic remote.

Alright. You got a good idea with the Virtual Console controller; but its not the right one. You'll need a Gamecube controller and a regular Gamecube memory Card. You can install all that by going on top of the wii by flipping up the 'secret' lid on top of the wii. You have 4 controller ports, and 2 memory card slots to use. Plug the in, and when you enter the gamecube game, play with the GC controller. The remote should turn back on after you finish playing.

Just insert any Gamecube game into the disk drive as you would for a Wii game, and then go to the game-disk channel. Wii is compatible in reading every gamecube game created. There is also a flap above the disk drive (assuming you have it turned on it's side) for the Gamecube controller ports, and in back of that, are memory card slots. Contrary to early belief, your Wii cannot save games because it is a different format. In other words to save your games from a gamecube game, you will need a gamecube memory card.

Its really easy.
1. Open up the top flap and plug in your gamecube controllers and gamecube memory card (for saving).
2. Put the game inside the Wii the same way you do it with Wii games.
3. Turn on the Wii and on the first Wii Channel just click on it like you'd play any other wii game (shows gc logo) and ta da!!!
hope this helps! (:

Hey, This is all you need to play gamecube games:
Gamecube game
Gamecube memory card
And then either of the following:
Gamecube controller or Wii Classic Controller attachment.
I highly recommend the wavebird (wireless gamecube) controller, as it is consistent with the wireless capabilities of the wii, and they rock anyways.
The reason why I recommend the wavebird over the others is that when playing gamecube games, some require the use of the pressure-sensitivity in the shoulder buttons (L and R). The classic controller does not have these features.
Hope this helped. (the gamecube disc goes in just like a wii disc -- but in the centerish)

You put the gamecube game in the slot like normal, plug the gamecube controller in the port on the top of the Wii.

definite, the GameCube video games flow in a similar rigidity as teh Wii video games. yet as for something previously the Gamecube, you are able to in simple terms play them on the digital Console additionally, the gamecube video games require the two a gamecube controller or a classic controller attachment ($30) (classic controller additionally works with digital Console video games)

There is a flap that opens on the top of the Wii where you can plug in your Game Cube controllers and your Game Cube memory card. Just put your Game Cube disc in the same way as any Wii disc and you're set to play.
