sims 2 downloads??

Question

well, ive got the sims 2 on pc, but its getting a bit boring with the same old clothes and ive found some sims 2 stuff i wanna download but im not quite sure how to do it and where to save it. anybody HELP!?

My Advice: Go to My Documents, EA Games, Sims 2, and If there isn't a download folder in there make one, by clicking make a new folder. After that go on the site you want that doesn't require any Paying At All. You won't have to download any kind of program to put these things in the game, heads up! Once you find the Custom Con. (Or Downloads), download it. But if this item has mesh then download it first and then the regular file, make sure it has or doesn't have mesh. Before fully downloading a screen will pop up and ask where you would like to put these files, put them in the download Folder. After this go to the Download folder and you will see (most of the time) 2 'Zipped' files. If they're not Zipped (Yellow file), they're rar and you don't have to do anything with them. But when you see the Zipped files, right click them and push extract, then a screen will pop up and just push next until it stops unzipping the file. It only does a file one by one. All of the stuff you downlod should go to C - Documents and Settings - HP Owner - My Documents - EA Games - Sims 2 - Downloads. If you dont have a downloads folder create one.Also if you got to ModtheSims2 you can download some great clothes there.They have a program called Q-Xpress you can download.When you find something on the Mod the sims 2 you like click the Q next to the file name.It will download your object/fashion etc to the right place.All you do is click install.

Most files will come in one of three forms. Zip (.zip) files, RAR files (.rar) or Sims 2 package files. To download the first two types of files, you will a program to uncompress the files from the .rar or .zip file. You can find those for free easily by looking up winZip and winRAR on the internet. There are also several other types of file compressors, but those are the ones I use.

When you uncompress the files, you want to look in your My Documents file for the EA Games file, in which you should find a Downloads file. Put the files you download and unzip or unrar in that file and you should be done!

Sims 2 packages files you should be able to download and then double click on, which will open a dialogue box that asks if you want to install the custom content. The installer will put the files in the right places for you and then let you know that "Your custom content was installed successfully!"

Be sure to Enable Custom Content in your Sims 2 game or else your downloaded files won't show up. If the Dialogue asking you if you want to do that doesn't appear when you start up your game, look for it under the Game Options panel.

okay is the scoop - easist way is a the download from the Sims official site, then from there you can read all about downloading and adding to your game from modthesims2

its easy just click download. a window pops up and asks you what to do w/ it you just click the first bullet w/ says save to sims 2 body something, its the default. then say dowload and it dowloads and then a window pops up and says import? and you say yes and then its in the game.

i dont really understand what you mean but i will try to help. if you want to download the latest versions of the sims just go to limewire (limewire.com) download the program and then just simply type in the name of the game e.g sims etc (they also do movies and music)
