I have pale skin, dark brown eyes, and dirty blonde hair. What colors are good for blush, eyeshadow(everything for the eyes really) and lipstick. Any application tips would help too.

The most important factor in choosing makeup colors is determining your skin tone. Here's how to determine your skin tone.

Warm skin tone:
1. Look at inner wrist - veins will appear green.
2. Gold jewelry is more flattering than silver jewelry.

Cool skin tone:
1. Look at inner wrist - veins will appear blue.
2. Silver jewelry is more flattering.

Look at your wardrobe and hold up a few items in different colors against your face. Which ones appear more flattering to you in a mirror with natural sunlight? Which colors are you drawn to?

If you are not sure, ask one or two trusted friends or family members who's style you admire.

As for color palettes:

1. Earth colors are considered to be more neutral and natural
e.g. taupe or brown eyeshadow, soft blush (Nars Orgasm), lip colors that are like your own but with a little oomph (Revlon Lip Super Lustrous Gloss - Cherries in the Glow)

2. Jewel colors are considered to be more dramatic
e.g. blue or purple or green or shimmery eye shadows, black eyeliner, bold blush, deep burgundy or bright pink lip colors

You can choose from either palette as long as the tones are flattering. For makeup application tips go to: www.cosmeticscop.com & the Beauty School section of www.sephora.com

Shimmery pink blush: To apply put a little bit on the side of the brush then dab on your cheeks, with a VERY small amount on the tip brush all over your face. Light Green Eyeshadow, will make your eyes look like they have some green in them and will make your whole face look brighter. Make sure you cover your ENTIRE lid, when applying. Brown Eyeliner. Dark purple or black mascara the combination of these colors on your eyes will work well. Try just some clear lipgloss. But if your going to use listick a light pink.
Also a gold eyeshadow would also look good.

brown eyeshadows with shimmer and also pink and purple shades work very well with brown eyes, use a light shade over the lid and a darker shade in the crease (ie-lavender on the lid and plum in the crease), try that with a plum or blackish brown eye pencil and brown mascara, a light peach-y blush applied along the cheekbones and a nude lipstick and /or gloss would work well for your skin tone.

Use a light brown eyeshadow on your eyes and a light peach blush just under your cheekbones. Use a light brown or clear mascara and dark brown eyeliner. And apply lip balm on your lips, then concealer and clear lipgloss over it. Message me if you need more help.
