My cuticales tend to get very dry and crack a little. I am constantly applying lotion. I even bought Apothacary cream, and apply it every night before bed. I have tried cuticle oil!! I used to spend $25 a week on manicures!! I need a real solution!

Try OPI Avoplex – it costs about $7 and lasts a very long time.

Vaseline, vitamin E oil, Aquaphor Healing Ointment, plain Chapstick/lip balm, Neosporin ointment .

All of these are thick and will "stick" your cuticles. Apply just a tiny amount during the day to shield your nails and cuticles from water.

The other option is getting a paraffin bath regularly. You can buy one for use at home (cumbersome because it takes a while for the wax to melt) or go to a nail salon.

Avon makes an excellent cuticle treatment. Apply it at bedtime and the problem will be gone in a couple of days. Neo Sporin is also good for cracking around nails.
