Tilly; If I understand you right, you are smoking some cannabis, and cigarettes, while you are "buntis"/pregnant -today!

I want to tell you that through my entire FORTIES, I grew and smoked strong "heads" of cannabis -EVERY afternoon
(as I read, & listened to music).. Seemed real good, at first.. .

WHY did I stop? I had turned myself into a whingeing, negative-thinking CRIPPLE !! The cannabis was the cause!

I have been drug-free, 8 years, now (-other than a Panadiene
-Forte of 30 mgs Codeine -washed-down with a TWO tea-bag drink of tea on 'rising)': FIRST thing, without fail: every morning.

I noticed several of my friends -as their Testosterone-levels dropped @ 53 - 54 years.. simply wandered-off ..and committed suicide! I (ALMOST) did.. (The world doesn't LOOK any good)!
Cannabis -once it has a "grip" on you, a person WILL blame, just [everything except] their "good-ol'" fat 'joint':
(a couple EVERY afternoon): BUT it IS THE cause -of ALL their pains -which arrive at night, at first; then -after about a year- steadily, WORSEN: taking-over your [entire life], (-yet you CANNOT actually believe it)!

Cannabis is a v-e-r-y strong 'Hypnotic' -and attempting to talk sense TO smokers means -in essence- you are debating a HYPNATISED person! (There'll BE no good result; only an enemy)

Quit now; as it is sheer HELL -going through a "full-Blown" Cannabis-Withdrawl ..in HOT weather..

Count how many months you HAVE smoked "grass", and THAT is how nany weeks you will BE; "coming RIGHT: NO kidding!
(Oh, and do NOT bore normal people with endless stories of "how I gave-up Cannabis". They will scarcely believe [that you have].
You will sound SO hyper-talkative (all about it)!

Cannabis has been tried for 3,000 years AS a pain-killer.. then rejected,
as the 'experimenting doctor' realised it IS a PAIN-MAKER !
Use a little Nuerophen-plus -with food, but get hold of Panadeine-Forte,
and swallow 2, on rising: cruch ONE up; swallow the other whole..
-with the Nuerophen 'plus', as you eat Oat-Flakes..
(Oats have an alkaloid IN them that cheer people UP) !

Start, NOW: Hurl your grass, AND cigarettes IN the fire.
DO NOT expect "instant" results -as the body stores such poisons near the base-of-the spine.. You WILL be 5 months, "coming right"..
-so be strong, and patient; for your child.

Always mention TO the (older doctor) EXACTLY what you ARE attempting to do: "come right"!
.

Pain can be referred from places other than the head. This deals with headaches but the principle works for all kinds of pain.
Muscles get knots called trigger points. These make the muscles tight causing them to press on nerves and other thing.
#1 The first thing is to take a couple swigs of molasses or eat a couple of bananas. They contain magnisium and potassium both of which muscles need.
#2 WATER she should be drinking 1/2 gallon minimum. The head of neurology at UCDavis likens a body running low on water to a car running low on oil (the engine can seize).
Get a good (deep tissue) massage (to loosen the trigger points) on the back, shoulders and neck. Make sure to press up at the base of the skull where it meets the spine.
You rub or lightly scratch everywhere on your head. You will hit spots that are tender these are trigger points. The idea is to rub across them 6-12 times per session up to six times per day until they go away.
For more information on trigger points read The Trigger Point Therapy Workbook by Davies.

I think as far as a pain killer, I don't think it works that well. For muscle spasms, it works and I smoke daily for them. So it does take the sting out of the spasms,so in the long way around it, it helps with pain, do you understand? I have chronic severe pain from neck and back injuries, have suffered with nerve pain for 17yrs now. I currently take Methadone for pain management, smoke daily to control muscle spasms and nausea, and to make me eat. When you hurt real bad, you don't have appetite, simple as that. I had back problems when I was pregnant, as well. I did smoke daily then, the twins are fine.

There are several herbs that can be used. Stone Root (Collonsonia spp.) and Gravel Root (Eupatorium spp.) both work well. You might try mixing them with Marshmallow root which is a demulcent and soothing to the kidneys. Corn Silk tea is also very soothing, especially if there is irritation. Also avoid drinking lots of iced tea. The tannins in the tea contribute to stones.

Yes I've used it for back pain, and it works as well as codeine or other opiates.

But you need to keep working with your doctor, just treating pain symptoms is no good. Or you may need to see a specialist in orthopedics.
