I had food poisioning during my 5th month and it was aweful! I was so worried b/c I couldn't eat or even drink I was so sick! I also had a complication later that month that put me in the hospital(totally unrelated to pregnancy)and I was on pain medications! I was so freaked out but my son was totally fine...9lbs, 21 inches. Don't worry about it(I know that's easier said than done!)and be sure to keep drinking fluids...that's the best thing you can do. Good luck!

I have had a stomach ache while pregnant but not diarrhea don't recall... however I honestly think your baby is fine. The stomach ache and diarrhea are all reactions to what you ate. The baby is a picky eater and unfortunately the baby didn't like what you ate. I am almost certain your baby is fine (not a doctor or anything) but if a stomach ache and diarrhea is all your concerned about then you are fine. To be on the safe side don't hesitate to go to the doctor to make sure. I mean there's nothing better than being safe than sorrie. The doctor would understand your concern. I wish you the best of luck~
P.S. I would suggest staying away from those things you ate at least until after pregnancy~ smiles

I think that I have been through it all, I am currently seven months pregnant and while on vacation in Tahiti when I was five months along I contracted some awful stomach virus from the horrible food and had diarhea, stomach aches, sweats, dehydrated. I have also had problems with actually passing out (not just feeling lightheaded)!! My doctor assures me that everything is "fine", he says the baby is very healthly and that basically your body is made to withstand things like this without harming the baby!

My 1st trimester I had diarrhea a lot...my OBGYN said that a lot of pregnant woman get constipated...but that it's ok if you never become constipated and you get diarrhea instead...the fact is that the pregnancy has a big effect on your digestive system...so it's common to get either way.
You should be completely fine! However, you can always call your doctor in case you're worried about food poisoning or something like that...
A lot of women feel completely wretched and sick during their pregnancy...but don't worry...your baby is in your belly, happy as a clown, probably taking a nap! :)

It should be fine. My midwife told me that if you do get sick from food when you are pregnant it will be 10 times worse than if you arent pregnant. Your body will protect the baby the best it can. I dont think it is much to worry about, maybe the cheese cake was to rich for your tummy right now. was it ceaser salad? it contains raw egg, and that can carry listeria. If it only lasted a day I wouldnt worry to much, any longer and you could see your doctor.

I got the most horrible stomach virus when I was pregnant with my son. I wasn't able to even keep water down. I ended up at the ER just because I was so concerned w/getting dehydrated and whether or not all the heaving was hurting my little one.
It didn't hurt my little one at all, he probably thought mommy took him for a roller coaster ride in there. They did a u/s at the ER just to make sure he was ok.
My son is now 6 months old and not a problem in the world

stomach ache and diarhea are fine, if you have bad cramping that could be a problem and bleeding with the cramping is even worse. If you are that worried about it ask your doctor, he can help you fight that fear.

I had severe diarrhea for 3 weeks a couple weeks ago & it was just a stomach bug. I had to get checked out to make sure everything was fine w/ baby (it was)....just make sure you take a LOT of fluids & try to still eat.

as long as you don't have diarrhea for a whole 24 hours or more, you and your baby are fine. even then, i think the only problem would be dehydration, and you'd have to have IV fluids for a little while. as long as you don't have listeria or salmonella or something like that, you're fine!
