I think its highly admirable for him to want to fight for his country, however it may not be the best decision. He is not only putting himself in danger for being such a huge target, but also the troops he commands. But as a vet I can say that if he's a good leader, his soldiers understand what danger they are in because of him, and want him to lead them anyway. The British Royals will have more at stake in this war than our own political leaders, who don't have loved ones fighting over there. I wish him and his soldiers the best!

Apperantly, so I've heard anyway, that the Blues and Royals consider it a great honour to have Harry. And they would look dishonoured and foolish if anything happened to him.So, they will ensure that the rest of the squad take the fire and he isn't allowed to take it for anyone else. What a load of nonsense. You go in with your men and die with your men, not get protected. If the rest of them don't get proctection, why the hell should he? He's a royal - yeah, and?

I think that as we don't know the names of other people risking their lives for this country, it isn't important that the Queen's grandson is going either. It just shows that there is a world of difference between the royals and the rest of us. I very much doubt if there will ever be any danger of Harry returning to this country in a body bag either!!

Will he be commanding from the front or rear, behind a lot of soldiers who could be used in the war, a political/royal stunt ??, don't get me wrong ex forces (army) and a royal through and through, just think this is not right

I think that it is great. He is going to be serving his country, like some of the royals before him. I hope he stays safe, because so many people will have already felt the pain of losing love ones to a war without an end.

i really dont see why on earth he has gone. theres more people looking after him and watching him then him doing any real army work. i mean, they sent the SAS to guard him, for f***s sake.

i don't see him being there for a long time. he's too much of a personnal risk, not only to himself, but to the rest of his party in getting attacked when the enemy find out who he is. (and they will)
