My hockey skates have recently started giving me blisters. I have had them for a while, so its not that they are new...Any players out there have any tips?

Well it really depends on how you prefer to skate in them. If you are like some players and you skate without socks then you should probably get some thin socks to wear. You will need to put on the adhesive bandages until the blisters go down for sure but the thin socks or heavier ones if they do not make you feel uncomforable on the ice, may help to prevent them.

You might also get your feet measured. Sometimes, for those poor souls like myself who have wide feet, your skates are too long to make up for normal skates being narrow. So have them measured because properly formed skates will probably reduce the amount of blisters you get. You might also buy skates that have softer boot interiors.

The best way to deal with blisters is the same way that professional runners do it.

1. pop the thing

2. let it dry (air it out) for a hour or several

3. get brand new super glue and put a thin coat on the blister

Leaving the fluid in it will only cause it to hurt longer. The super glue will make it nice and hard, and there will be little to no pain in a day.

Don't put a bunch of super glue on it this will only cause more problems. Don't worry about people telling you super glue isn't safe, as long as you keep it with your other medical supplies and dont inject half a tube into your body you will be alright.

Try the Band-Aid Blister patches. These are awesome and they are much better than mole-skin and you can take a shower with them on too. They are not expensive and are next to the regular band-aids. I use these when I have not run in awhile and get a blister. My hubby uses them when he has to do a road march too.

first of all, avoid popping them in day light. My method for getting rid of blisters is a weird one I think. But I usually take a sowing needle and use that to pop my blister. Then after all the fluid comes out, I soak whatever body part that has the blister in epsolm salt...It dries it out and clears it up.

Yeah.... Well this sort of happened to my friend and he just put band-aids where the blisters were and it stopped hurting

Just tape it up/bandaid it and where a sock over it
