A book on being a young parent and depression. An the best gift of all is love and support for her and her baby!

Maybe get a little something for her. Doesn't even have to be baby related, you could get her something to help her relax, a massage or pedicure or a cool movie to watch when she's not feeling that great. Then I would definitely get something for the baby, either an outfit (don't necessarily get her a newborn size because she'll receive lots of those... maybe something for a 6-12 mth) or some early supplies that she'll need... diapers, bibs, burping clothes, bottles, binkies, etc.

I know that having a baby at 14 is not ideal, but she's chosen to take this path and at this point everyone around her needs to be as supportive as possible and try to help her make the right choices in caring for her child.

Basic Baby Supplies like Diapers and Wipes come in handy. Cloth diapers are great to have around for burp rags (she'll need those). "The Baby Book" by Dr. Sears has lots of great baby care information. A Boppy pillow is also really great for holding the baby for nursing or feeding (your arms get really tired from holding the baby all the time).

If you want to get her something for herself, I would stay away from maternity clothes. She needs something fun. If she's nursing then a cute bracelet that she can switch from arm to arm to keep track of what side she's nursed on is good. Another good idea is body care supplies. One good maternity body care line is Mustela or if you're looking for something less expensive you could get her a Shea butter lotion at Bath and Body Works.

She shouldn't be pregnant at 14 first of all and you could get her a pass thingy to the Muarry show. And for the baby... a card that says, "I'll take the baby till you're 18, ok?" So you get to keep a baby!!!
