My ex was in a car accident and had a shattered pelvis, he still got a lot of pain after. Is it possible that you now have arthritis in your joints? Or sciatic nerve? have you tried swimming? Might loosen up your joints and take the weight off them while you do very gentle exercises in the water? Also, do you move regularly during the day? if your joints have a chance to seize up, this will cause horrific pains, which i do not envy you for. I would demand the doctors investigate more as you should not have to suffer in this way. I do not think you are screwed for life at all, just need better doctors with a bit of gumption about them. Good luck.

Shame man I know what you mean. My friend was also in an accident and broke her pelvis in 4 places. They say it is healed but if you look at the xrays you can see the pubic area doesnt line up at all. She is now extra worried that she will never be able to have a child because of this. She works as a bar lady and is constantly on her feet which also doesnt help.

But what seems to help her is make sure you sleep on a good bed. not too hard or else you dont mould to it nicely. Also you must do physio. She told me some of the exersices:

lie flat on your back and push your pelis up (almost like a pelis thrust) but make sure it is slow and controlled. make sure you use your butt to do most of the work.

also lie flat on your back and lift on leg up, not pointing to the sky but just enough that the whole length of you leg is off the ground. keep alternating your legs.

there are other which you should find out from a proper physio.

I also think you should go for an MRI and a CAT scan. Xrays just look at the bones. MRI and CAt look at nerves and tissues. If your dr wont let you then find another. Its your life and you have to live it, so do what you think is right for you.

Good luck
