My husband is very very close to my grandmother. She is lonely and getting up their in years and really doesn't have much of a social life. She has been looking for a male companion but at her age it is very hard to do. My husband and I spend a lot of time with her so that she doesn't feel so alone. Just the other night my husband suggested that he should start sleeping with my grandmother so that she won't feel so alone anymore. He says that sleeping with her will make her feel young and vibrant again and give her a pleasure that she hasn't felt in years. Some of my relatives agree that this would be best for my grandmother but I totally disagree. I was outraged when my husband brought this outrageous suggestion up. He says that I am being spoiled and selfish and that if I was a good granddaughter I would do this for my grandmother. Is he right? Should I let my husband sleep with my grandmother? Help please!

wow...ok

first off, your husband, diserves a slap in the face, for suggest that he destroys something sacred that it only rightfully done in marriage, with YOUR GRANDMOTHER. Its bad enuff that he wants to BE with another woman, but he has the odacity to ask for your permission to be wit YOUR GRANDMOTHER. And personally i think your family is sick, if they think its such a good idea, then maybe they should breakup into groups and have a threesome with her instead.

I dont think your wrong for disagreeing, i think your trapped in this sick whirlpool, with your sick husband and your sick family,...get out while you still can.

If this is completely true then, at a minimum, your husband has proposed a strange solution to Grandmas' lonliness; at a maximum this sounds perverted and outside of the norms of family behavior. The fact that the some of the family agree brings up other serious questions.
There are plenty of organizations that sponsor activities for individuals of all ages. The chances of finding others with the same interests are fairly good, but Grandma should be able to development outside relationships without expanding the defition of normal family behavior.
LOL
PS - to "dad" - I live in Mississippi and have never been involved in nor practiced incest nor zoophilia.

You're kidding, right??

In case you aren't, first you need to check your husband. Cheating is still cheating..I don't care how good the 'intentions' are. Would he be okay with you sleeping with his dad if he was ever lonely?

Secondly, grandma needs to get out and LIVE. Sign her up on senior cruises, take her to a local senior citizens meeting, find her some friends. She can't meet men her age if she's always sitting around with the two of you!

Anyway, how does your hubby know that your grandmother would even be willing to do this? Why wouldn't he suggest one of his friends that may be attracted to older, mature women instead???? Are you sure that hubby isn't fulfilling a fantasy? Ugh...nasty!!

Is this a joke? You need to protect your elderly grandmother! If anyone had even made a suggestion like that about my beloved grandma, there would have been hell to pay! What kind of morals does your husband have? He must be one sick guy! If your family is going along with this they are all sick, and I would threaten to report them to elderly abuse! You may be the only voice your grandmother has, please do not allow anyone to abuse her in any way! Get her involved with adult day care centers and activities with older people her age! Do not let sicko family members do whatever they want to your grandmother! I would have your husband picked up for a mental exam! If nothing is wrong with him, I would never trust him again. If he thinks nothing of cheating on you with your own grandma, what else is he doing behind your back?Bottom line, protect your grandma!

NO!! That is just crazy. If you husband is that into your grandmother that he would sleep with her then maybe he isn't the right guy for you. (or anyone for that matter) How old is she?? Doesn't really matter. Maybe she should be in a retirement home where she would be able to have male friendships, if thats what she's looking for....

I doubt it very much if your grandmother would even be willing to sleep with your husband. He sounds to have a low standard of morals and looks upon sex only as pleasure without the emotional bond it should have. Boy, I'd say out of the whole bunch of apples, you sure picked the most rotten one! Why you should even ask this question gives me my answer as to why you picked him, a lacking in brains!

Are you for real?????? I cannot believe you even have to ask this.... if your husband suggested sleeping with your grandmother, then he is sick!!!!!!!!! It sounds like your husband just wants to have sex with anyone.... maybe he has already cheated. Do not let him make you think you are being selfish or spoiled!!!!
This sounds like something from the Jerry Springer show!!! SICK PEOPLE... your husband needs help & fast!!!!!!

That is the most stupidest idea from your husband I ever heard!

Put granny in a nursing home or take her to the local seniors club. Every town has a seniors club. She won't be lonely then.
Next divorce your husband since he obviously is cheating on you.
