My husband cannot sleep in any kind of light whatsoever. We can't even have a digital clock in the bedroom because the light bothers him. I can sleep in any kind of light. In fact, I prefer to have some light, so I have a nightlight in the bathroom, and I can just make out the glow from under the closed door from my side of the bed.

It's probably personal preference.

Good question, I can't sleep with a light on either, but I sure can sleep in the daytime.

It really isn't, you just are very aware of the times that it was easy. If you tried to do it, it would be hard. Lights on in the room do affect sleep quality.

i think that your body is use to the sunlight, but the fact that there is a bright light on you constantly makes your body unable to rest peacefully.

one is natural soothing light, the other disharmonious artificial light that prevents you from relaxing and sleeping
