hi jasmine...
it depens how you take it. My sister is nurse and she's been working from last 7 years. Its a nice career but what makes it better will be decided after weighing other options available to you. Why Nurse Why not Doctor? Both are equally good besides one thing as a doctor you are the one taking decisions and as a Nurse you are following instructions as told by doctor. Sure you do have many job opportunities as nurse, you can work in any nursing home, as a doctor you can start your own clinic/nursing home. but there are demerits as well. One wrong decision by you as doctor can cost someone's life, so its a huge responsibility , you cannot take lax decisions. secondly its easy to get a job than starting your own clinic, it takes time. i
in short all i want to say is weigh your options. you've made a choice, make it a right choice.

god speed

I am a nurse and it is a good career choice. The jobs for nurses are numerous. If you get your bachelor degree in nursing you have so many options. You could be a nurse manager, move on to practioner etc. There is so many options to work also hospitals, nursing homes, clinics, schools etc. The hours are whatever you want.
Good Luck.

Well, first of all let me congratulate you choosing a career in nursing.

I don't know about India but if you have a degree in nursing and if in future you are planning to settle in a foreign country then you have chosen the best profession 'cause foreign govt. spend billions and billions of dollars in Health care. I know this 'cause I am a Canadian.
