I think she overdid the party-girl thing with Paris Hilton a while back and got hooked on something unusual. If you read any *detailed* article from her trip to get the head shaved and to get the tattoo, the clues are there:
--Her pain tolerance was nil. She "wriggled and screamed" supposedly when she got the two new tats, and apparently that wasn't so much the case with the first tattoo.
--She looked "blank" while she was getting her head shaved, like she had gone away mentally....
--She had stains, *Nyquil stains* on her purse. People noticed it, she blew it off.
My humble guess? As far out in left field as it sounds, it would seem that Paris Hilton got Britney to abuse *dextromethorphan*, a low-yield semi-narcotic found in cough syrups. You don't hear about this sort of thing much because it takes a *lot* of cough syrup to even get a slight buzz on the stuff. Unless the formula has significant alcohol content too (as Nyquil's original formula does) you generally will *not* be able to stomach downing enough cough syrup *alone* to get a buzz, you'll get sick first....
But with either the original Nyquil (and the alcohol) or with using multiple sources of dextromethorphan (both pills or cough drops *and also* the syrups) it gets more doable if expensive.
And....it shows up on most drug tests as a false positive for *opiates* since it is itself a synthetic opioid derivative.
So yeah, that's what's going on, I think....
(assuming she's not a pod person being brainwashed to self-destruct so the Next Good Barbie Girl can become a Pop Tart on the radio, so to speak)

Why is it that every time some famous actor or singer does something stupid, the whole world freaks out? "Is she troubled, is she on crack, why would she ever do that." Who cares. If Britney wants to shave her head then so be it. She's a human being with all the rights we have so if she wants a new do or tattoo, then what's the big deal. It's her body, not yours.

Just like the old saying goes, "Its lonely at the top". She is wanting attention and unfortunately its negative attention. I believe she is self destructing. I would advise she snap out of it and tune into reality. She has been pimped out to the spotlight ever since she was a little girl. It is not unusual for child "stars" to act this way later in their adult life.

I think she wanted to get a little attention, because the world had focused on Anna Nicole and not her.
I do think she is realizing what a mess she's made of her young life.
I pray she gets it together soon for the sake of her children, or they'll soon be in K-Fed's custody!

I had heard that she thought she had lice. And another source said that her estranged husband K-Fed, threatened to have her drug tested using a strand of her hair. Whatever the reason, she is nuts and will no doubt go the the way of Anna Nicole Smith.

She stated she wanted to get rid of her hair extensions. But I think she is just going though major depression . Maybe over her divorce. Of course we do not know what is going on in her most private life. But she does have two babies to be a mom to. She needs to get help. I read where she check out of two drug rehabs. Maybe she just need to get away from the lime light for awhile and get her life together.

I think it was her self purity . and i also think it is her own business. yes it's weird for a person of her standards to do such a thing like this but i'm sure she has her own reason.... kevin can only dream of getting the fame she has already and is going to get in the future

I think she did it because she was sick of the paparazzi, and just wanted to give them a show.
On that note - who cares what celebrities do? It seems ridiculous to be obsessed with the life of someone who you'll never meet.

She probably just wants to take care of her dandruff problem. Having her head shaved is easier to treat dandruff issue ;)
