Here is a link to the Daily Mail's campaign as published in today's paper.

It is laid out in a very straight forward and simple manner with form letters.

First - ask for details of the last six years charges. There is a form letter.
Second - ask for your money back. There is a form letter.
Third - don't back down, if offered partial refunds etcetera. There is a form letter.
Fourth - go to court. There is link to the govenment moneyclaim site for this, and to a template for your claim.

Good luck.

Write to the bank asking for a list of charges for the last 6 years. They cannot charge more than £10 for this. Then when you get it back, write back and ask them to refund the charges you dispute as they are UNLAWFUL. Send all letters by recorded delivery. The bank may close your account if you do this, so be aware.

I have the website information for you and a telephone number if you wish this company to retrieve the penalty charges on your behalf. They will help you and you will not have to pay them. They get their payment by collecting the costs and interest, you will get back what has been taken from your accounts.
They will provide a downloadable printable form for you to send with all your details.
The information can be sent to info@bankcomplaints.co.uk. or you can telephone 01752 294205. Good luck.

go to the attached link and see what is recommended. Do not pay someoen else to retrieve these fees. That costs and is unnecessary.
