When your ill, even from a cold or something, why do you feel worse in the morning and in the evenings but can feel alright in the day?

Is it to do with the cycle of hormones? Exhaustion? Lowing Immune System?

I just always wondered why ^_^

I think its hormonal. When your body is stressed you produce cortisol (stress hormone produced by adrenals). If it is over-stressed from illness, you may deplete that hormone and the result is fatigue. Low cortisol symptoms are fatigue that is worse in the mornings and late at night. I know because I have low adrenal function.

think it is sort of like throughout the day you push yourself and are in a different mode than when you are just waking or going to sleep
when you are relaxed and not focused on your daily things you are concentrate more on your body and how it feels...basically.
