As a Phillies fan I think he will hit about 50 HRs this year. I think pitchers will be more hesitant to pitch to him and hitting 50+ HRs in back to back seasons is no easy feat (especailly when your clean) and expecting him to do so may not be fair. Hopefully Burrell can step it up this year and the pitching stays relatively healthy. The offense will be there again either way.

Howard will hit between 50-55 home runs with 140 RBI's. Chase Utley will have a MVP season at second base. His numbers will be .325 batting average, 210 hits, 30 home runs, 125 RBI's and lead the Phillies to the NL Pennant. The Phillies will surprise all of the National League this year. The Phillies will run their record to 96-66 and bury the Mets by 10 games!! You heard it here first!!!

Even though people say he wont hit a lot because of the lack of protection I think burrell, utley, rollins, rowand and helms will step up and scare of the pitchers. By saying this i bet howard will hit from 55-65 home runs. (Honestly)

Rowand is healthy this year. Utley has good pop. You can not pitch around Howard everytime. He will go yard 62 times this season. That is for up from last year based on the time Rowand spent on the bench.

I think teams will be forced to pitch to him because Rollins and Utley will get on base, and Burrell will give him some protection in the line-up. And if you don't walk him it is tough to pitch around him because he can hit bombs to all parts of the field. I am thinking 63-65 for Howard this year (assuming he says healthy all year) and people will declare him the new "clean" home run champion.

Phils have a nice exciting lineup. Howard will get 50+ again this year. My question to you is how many will he hit to the opposite field. This guy is just plain strong!

It is going to be real tough for him to even get a hit with people on base. He'll be walked by many pitchers if there are people on base. He isn't a lead off man so if there aren't any people on base then he'll be able to hit quite a few HR's

My prediction 45 HR's with atleast 110 RBI

I think he is going to hit about 45-49. I think the question you should be asking is if Utley is going to hit .400. That kid is going to be some player for yrs to come.
