You may be able to get on a Smart Access Plan with T-Mobile without a deposit. As long as your spending limit does not go over $150, you don't have to worry about it getting cut off. Just make your payments on time, and after a year you can check to see if you can get off of the smart access plan.

Have the sales rep run a credit check for you, let him/her know that you want to know how much you'll have to pay as a deposit to get the phone and contract, I had a low credit score (I stopped paying a previous cell phone bill from another provider), and I was told I did not need a deposit. If your credit is pretty bad though, I'd say about six months of paying off a VISA or MC would do it (that worked for my brother). I know that T-Mobile used to take a chance with people with less than good credit, don't know if they still do that.

Here's something you might want to think about.....

You say you just got out of school....So, you have Student Loans, etc..from school??

You will be needing to find work which does in tail costs...

Instead of buying a NEW cell phone...Why not keep the one you have for now and if that is not a possibility look for one that is a pay-as-you-go so you don't find your self really stretched out there budget wise....

Wouldn't it be better to get your feet planted a little firmer after school, before you pile on any more debt??
