Whilst replacing the cylinder head gaskit, the plate on one of the camshafts moved. There is a pick up/sensor infront of it, in the cam chain cover, so I assume this for the ignition timming. Needless to say the engine will not start, despite having good compresion and fuel into the cylinders.

Hi there, cam timing- with rocker cover removed look to the rear of camshaft carrier and you will see 2 holes, 6/8 mm drills can be drop into these holes to lock cams and this will help with cam timing, with the cams locked, crankshaft locking pin can be inserted into side of block to lock crank at same time. There is however a special tool required to set up the disc on the end of the camshaft for ignition timing part no KM 954.
Hope this helps.
