Why do Hollywood stars always act so liberal and open and end up marrying either wealthy bankers/or otherstars

This never ceases to amaze me how Hollywood stars play these incredibly deep parts or do all that charity work but they end up marrying incredibly dense and incredibly wealthy people like bankers or other stars. Their marriages usually last like a year or two and then they wonder why it didn't work???

I don't worship any stars.

I wanna sleep with J-Lo and Beyonce, Scarlett and Salma not because they are stars or even because they have money but simply because they are sexy as hell just like any other girl I know!!! I don't wanna go on trips with these ladies or go to some stupid premier. I wanna get down with em!!!!

because its all a sham. deep down they are all as fake as the characters they play, think about this... they get paid $20 million to play make believe, then they do interviews on how incredible and profound the character is that they made believe they wher, then they have an awards ceremony where we celebrate how good they played make believe. then they go to Africa and tell us how we are too greedy and need to give more money to help the starving kids, before they fly home on there PERSONAL JET to one of there multi million dollar MANSIONS,

remember people, these aren't great leaders or great thinkers, they are the dancing monkeys here to amuse us, and we never gave an award to a dancing monkey

Given their celebrity status, they don't often get the option of hanging out at Happy Hour to pick up some phone numbers. They tend to interact only with their own kind, meaning other celebrities and rich people. It's just a high profile version of the work place romance. And although many celebrity marriages are spectacular short-lived disasters, I'd actually challenge the idea that they do so at a higher rate than the general public. Almost 50% of marriage end in divorce these days, and there's the new phenomenon of the "starter marriage" lasting less than 5 years and with no kids - and this is for average people. Factor in the pressures of fame, the insecurity of show biz and work that can separate couples for weeks or months at a time, and you can understand why more of these relationships don't last.

As to the snarking on their political causes...I don't know - maybe those who've enjoyed phenomenal wealth feel obligated to give something in return to causes that speak to their conscience? The two richest men in the world - Bill Gates and Warren Buffet - have pooled their resources and donated vast sums to causes such as AIDS prevention, inner city education and Planned Parenthood. Their pressures are different than those of normal people--it would take a lot of work for two celebrities to have a good relationship. Not only do they have to worry about their public image and keeping their name in the paper, they also have to worry that anytime they have lunch with someone famous it will hit a tabloid article that implies they are cheating. Throw in the massive amount of time spent apart due to travel, and it is a wonder they last that long. Everything is high pressure and less than ideal--it's tough to make things work.

As for why they do it--who else would understand their situation? Not only do they have the pressures their jobs create, but celebrities have to beware of golddiggers and people who would just use them to get into the right parties so they can meet more celebrities. Finally, a person worshiping you is unattractive, and people have a nasty habit of worshiping celebrities.
