Statistically he will be great. I wouldn't be surprised to see him hit 50 in that park next year, and if they stick him behind Lee and in front of Ramirez he will drive in runs and have protection behind him in the line-up, something he didn't really have in Washington last year. Defensively nobody expects anything from him, and he won't disappoint there. However, the Cubs brought him in with the expectation that he will lead them to the playoffs, which is kind of unreasonable when you look at that pitching staff. So I see him having statistically his best season yet, but people might see him as a disappointment because I don't see the Cubs finishing above 4th in that division.

For those who don't know this, Cubs manager Lou Piniella has committed to hitting Soriano leadoff. IF he stays healthy, he COULD get 50 hrs and 50 stolen bases....oh it's a bit of a long shot...but who else could?
I expect the same type of stats with more runs scored.

He'll hit around 30-40 homers and have at least 100 rbi's and anywhere from 25-40 stolen bases. The Cubs are gonna love having this guy on their team especially since his bat and baserunning abilities are as good as they are.

If he leads off - only about 80 RBI. He will hit about 35 Homers, but have 12 errors in Center Field.

I think that he wil do fine from an offfensive point of view. I have some serious misgivings about how he is going to play centerfield especially in Wrigley which has been known to challenge far better centerfielders than he.

I think he'll be hitting lead-off which should get him
.300 average
40 homers
over 40 steals
120 runs
but batting leadoff, i would say about 85 rbi's
but he'll still be huge playing at that windy hitters park.
