No. Just turn on your psp, go to the far left menu (settings), go to the top item (Network Update), make sure that your WLAN switch is on and press X. Then the psp will connect to the internet (if a router is in a close range) and then save the update to your memory stick. It will take arond 21 MB but when you have saved and used it you can delete it form the GAME Menu on Save Data Utility. :)
