My Dear freind you have got this wire crossesd, bear with me:
If a person was Racist , they would only accept their own kind and lock everyone else away.
You do get people who came from diffrent backgrounds, from diffrent countries not through their own fault that put people away and marked them as racist.
I myself grew up in an era that was full of racisim Yet I Am Not Racist in any way what so ever.
I beleive that Racism SHOULD NOT be marked on anyone anywhere in the world expecially in this day and age. I think the wording of your question is wrong. You will alwys find, loving , caring and giving people wherever you go, this does not make the people that you meet as Racist.
There is no space for racism in this world no matter who the person is or where they come from. Don't accuse a person on been racist, treat them the same as you would like to be treated.

Not just racist, but I think the majority of people pretend to be nice, loving, caring and giving. It's an act people put on, time your back is turned they talk about you.

What are you asking? Why are people racist? Mostly it stems from ignorance, but I would hazard a guess that it also stems from experience. A question was just asked regarding a racist family member who didn't like a girl's hispanic bf b/c the family member had one bad relationship with a hispanic person. That's like never eating french fries again because you got one bad fry. But, if people are continually exposed to certain types of people and behaviors, and the experiences are consistently bad, then it's easy to see how someone can become cynical toward an entire culture.
Americans are losing their tolerance of Mexicans due to illegal immigration. Are all Mexicans bad or illegal? Certainly not. But it's the bad ones making news and setting the tone for the whole.

They are usually racist because they are intimidated or scared of certain types/races of people. this could be because they have had bad experiences with certain races or from stereotyping. i used to be racist a long time ago and it was because of the immature and stupid actions of certain race i had dealings with. I later realized that people act stupid no matter what their color is. I now give every one a chance. i think the majority of racism stems from the gangsta type attitude that SO many ethnics have. Their immature behavior ruins it for the good people in there ethnicity. People need to learn how to be themselves and not put up a front to make themselves feel better or look hard core or like a tough guy.

I believe in the goodness of people. Not a religious person. I believe even the racist can be nice and the nicest people can be racist at times. After all, we are human.

Maybe we are all a little racist. I think we were all exposed to racist thoughts and beliefs. Some of us live an amended life to change our thinking patterns and reaction to life. Some people deserve the benefit of doubt, and maybe they are sincerely nice, loving, caring and giving.
