I think it's edgy and kind of cool. I don't necessarily find it attractive, mind you, but it is a fashion statement.
Let me amend that: done by anyone else it would be a fashion statement, but in Britney's case it's a cry for help. The pressure can be overwhelming for someone in her position. I feel bad for her. What she needs are some great songwriters and a producer to help her put out a killer album. Maybe call it "Bald As I Wanna Be."

For the people who think she did it to avoid a drug test - her hair is being auctioned by the saloon on ebay and a judge would see that behavior as suspicious if that rumor were true. The courts see stuff like this all the time and people dont get away with it.
I think she just wants attention because Anna Nicole stole her limelight. Pretty sad to neglect your children for publicity.

Your right she is not in her right mind,,she is fighting for custody of her children and going through a divorce, hard on anyone. She is constantly being bombarded with cameras flashing in her face. She is a young girl who has entertained the world, it all happened extremely fast for her, hard for anyone to deal with especially a young girl. She is seeking help, yet is still being hounded. I truly feel sorry for her and hope she gets the help she needs.

I think the timing of it all was (ah hem) questionable to say the least. From what I've heard, prior to chopping off all her hair, she had a huge blowout with K-Fed and he threatened to do a DNA test on her hair to see what kind of drugs she's been doing. I'm sure that would be ammo for him in his custody battle. If that's true, then she's definitely covering something up. Crazy!

I heard that Kevin was going to ask for drug testing on her hair to prove how long she's been "partying". If that's why she did it then she's a lot smarter than she's given credit for.
