Yes, you can melt most things (except maybe dry ice), but if you heat a magnet above about 400°, it will rapidly lose its magnetism.

Permanent magnets are made by heating a magnetic material to about 1000°, and placing it inside a very powerful electromagnet. It is then allowed to cool to room temperature before the electromagnet is turned off.

All magnets will gradually lose their strength over time, but heating just accelerates this.
