Nitwit: Bush was never charged with AWOL and never arrested for drugs while he was flying for his Air Guard unit. He was Honorably discharged.

Yes he was working for some republican congressman's campaign (code for drugs) instead of doing his duty and the fact remains he joined the national guard because he knew he wouldn't be sent to Vietnam....his application to the Air Force was turned down when he said he didn't want overseas duty. The Rather fiasco
was never proved/disproved.

When the military records of US soldiers are released under the Freedom Of Information Act, the portions that were filled in are blacked out - covered - for reasons of "national security", to prevent spies from collecting information on troop movement and military activity.
Chicken George's forms are NOT blacked out. The only way his forms could not be blacked out is if they were never filled in the first place. There is nothing TO black out, ergo, he didn't perform his military service and was thus AWOL.

Get with the program, dude -- Dan Rather provided documents that supposedly proved that Dubya didn't serve, and that so-called "proof" was later shown to be completely trumped-up (READ: They were fakes). That was the last straw. You'll never hear this publicly announced by the mainstream liberal media, but the execs at CBS demanded Rather's resignation over that brouhaha. Not because he falsified documents; but because he got caught doing it and the American people found out. Doesn't look good when we have proof of the lies of the liberals...
