I'm 12 and I'm wondering is it safe 4 me to use a tapon?

I got my period when I was 12, and started using tampons when I turned 13. I'm almost 14. Tampons are no big deal, and they won't 'take away your virginity' or make you lose it. The people that said that you lose your virginity to tampon use are dumb, ignorant, and small minded. The only way to lose your virginity is to have sexual intercourse.

It's perfectly safe to use tampons at 12, I started using them at 13, but I could have used them at 12. It's no big deal, and tampons are nothing to be afraid of.

As soon as you start your period you can use a tampon. Try a lot of different brands until you find one you are comfortable using. I started using tampons before I became sexually active, so that's not an issue. And they are safe. Make sure you change them often and generally don't use them over night. I used, and still use O.B. brand. They don't have an applicator so they are actually easier to use. You may be a little freaked out at first, but it's your body, get to know it.

First of all, it is impossible to lose your virginity to a tampon. They are not big enough, plus the only way to lose your virginity is through sexual intercourse.

Now to your question. I was 32 when I started using tampons. I started using them at my husband's suggestion before we were married. I was a virgin then. It never occurred to me to use them sooner. I wish I had because I had a lot of trouble with pads (very heavy flow). If I had, I would have started using them sooner. I have been using them since then with no problems. I'm 44 now.

As long as you change them often enough, you'll be okay. Someone at your age should start with the slender regulars made just for teens.

It is as safe as it is for older women.Buy the tampons for young girls..The small size.It says that is suitable for first period..(o.b.)I used them too when I was 13..It's okay and it didn't hurt but you must follow the instructions so there would be no problem...
P.S:It does not break the hymen.The tambon cannot reach the hymen..It says this in all for teens sites and books..

I was 13 when I first got my period and 13 when I started using a tampon. Yes if you can get one in and it feels comfortable and you take care of yourself properly then you should be fine! =) Good luck sweety! 12 years old is not too young, you'll be just fine

i personally don't think it's good. i agree with the person who said loosing your virginity.
you break your hymen and that's 'the true test' of being a virgin, having your hymen intact. so putting a tampon there at the age of 12, using it until you get married will make it seem like you were'tn a virgin to begin with. use a pad, be safe.

even if you were three, it would be safe to use a tampon. granted, it wouldnt FIT, but w/e. you can use one whenever you feel comfortable. good luck!
