i was told that a consultant business, are a vending business is the best type businesses to start, whats ur opinon? i think that maybe a consultant business maybe better as my husband been a software guy for some years now, and now workin in a company as a consultant, i think we can make a go of it on our own if anyone have any good advice, ideas, are if ur a software person plz give ur thoughts.. thanks...

Consulting is TOUGH, sometimes you won't even be able to give away your services.
A day care is a great idea, if you enjoy that kind of thing, and have the background necessary to be licensed. I would recommend a day care center and not a home day care (too limited on number of children, hard to make a profit).
I would stay away from retail of any type, it's just too hard to make your mark against the giants out there.
But I would consider franchising. Visit www.franchise.org for franchising basics and opportunities.
Best of luck--and please, don't go into business because you need money. Start-up businesses often take more money than they make.

If you can handle it, Id say a daycare.
There is a tremendous demand for trustworthy childcare in this country. Youd be surprised the dumps that parents leave their kids at just so they have someone to watch them.

consulting is a stretch..you might want to research on HOW to do that independently as there are already many consulting operations existing...and its very competitive..
