im just curious to know how long it took you to get a positve test?? and how many tests did you take before you got that positve result?? ANDDDDDD i know i ovulated around the 7th or 8th of feb shouldnt i have an accurate preg test result by now?? im sure i would have already had implantation by now?? what would cause my test to NOT be positve yet?? that is if i am pregnant??? any answer will be great!!! thanks you soo much for your help!!:)

I was on the pill so when I had not gotten my period on Sunday, I thought I should take a test to be positive. It came back negitive on Sunday. So I thought I may be dehydrated. On Wednesday afternoon, I still had not started so I thought, I have one more test, lets use it and get it over with. Imagine my suprise when it came back positive. I went out and bought 4 different brands. Three of the brands came back positive and one negitive. It really depends on the brand. Needless to say, I am scheduled for a c-section in nine days.

It depends on the hcg level in your system...You can still be pregnant and get a false neg.....the concentration of hcg has to be high enough to react with the chemicals on a HPT....Blood tests would be more accurate if you are very early on...You should wait until a missed period for a urine test, but even still some people still get false neg because the hcg simply wasn't high enough yet....If you are very impatient (like me) a blood test would be better so your not spending so much money on HPT's...Good Luck!

I had two say no before one said yes. one was three days before my missed and the other no was at 2 days late. My first yes because I kinda forgot about the whole thing was a 10days late.
You may not have high levels of the hormones yet.

After you miss your period then you can take one. Chances are if you take one before it will give an incorrect response. I only had to take one test and then I went to the doctor few days after that and confirmed it with a blood test just because they are more accurate.

you need to wait until you miss your period. I took a test about a week or week and a half before my period and it was negative, I took a test 2 days after i missed me period and it was positive. I am 5 weeks prego now.
