The only TV show I watch regularly is "Jeopardy". I saw "Star Search" years ago, but it was more entertaining than "American Idol", because it had dancers, models, etc. and not just singers. I do not listen to popular music, let alone bad amateurs on a (NO)Talent show. I saw a couple of people on ads that my sister said were winners or contestants on "American Idol". One was a man who seemed to be a bum. A couple were airhead women. If they are samples, I won't watch the show...but I already knew that before i saw them.

American Idol is one of the best TV shows..
Rarely that someone would care less for the show.

I couldn't care less about American Idol...I have never watched a single episode..and surprisingly enough...my life doesn't feel incomplete for the lack thereof.

What's the big deal?
I heard from this guy on TV that there is a clause in the contract that says that if there is anything odd about you, they will target it.
(Now, I have only watched approximately 20 minutes of this show so far... and that is cumulative time from channel surfing.)
I don't get why people would put themselves in a position to relive their worst adolescent nightmares in front of the world, on TV.

I haven't cared ever before but everyone talks about it at work so I started watching it this year... But there are plenty of people that don't care... I doubt people in China or Russia or Spain or Antarctica care that much...
